Jan 28-Feb 4, 2023 Our Club had 31 people on the trip, 21 flying with us on US Air from Newark to Denver. We have a geographically diverse group on our trips, with members residing in states from Maine to Florida to California. Some participants met us at Denver Airport to join us on the long but easy bus ride from the airport to our lodging in Snowmass Village. We boarded our bus for Snowmass and after a short stop for food and beverages, we resumed our journey. Traveling along I-70 we were treated to views of the Rockies and a great sunset. After smooth ride we arrived at the Pokolodi Lodge. Pokolodi Lodge is one of Snowmass Village's most popular lodges. Conveniently located adjacent to the Village Mall and to the Snowmass Ski Area, the Pokolodi prides itself on service and family friendliness. Hotel staff quickly unloaded our bus and delivered all the luggage to our rooms. The Pokolodi provided a wine-and-cheese welcome reception for our group. Sunday morning began with continental buffet. Finally, it was time to ski. Most of the group started in Snowmass. Spanning more than 3,000 acres across several distinct mountain areas, Snowmass is the largest, most diverse resort in the Aspen conglomerate. In the following days the group members could enjoy other ski areas, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. Thanks to great free shuttle system transportation. Each day ,after skiing, the group could enjoy outside hot tub and the pool at Pokolodi. On Tuesday club had group get-togethers with appetizers, pizza, and drinks. We had another group clean-out-your-fridge event Friday night.
The following morning, we gathered at
the breakfast buffet and, after a good breakfast, we loaded the
bus. Time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery on the way to Denver
